The Foundation has made a £1,000 grant to Pancreatic Cancer UK, to be used to help fund their Nurse Support Line, which is a lifeline for patients and families facing the emotional and psychological impact of pancreatic cancer.
The Foundation held a coffee morning on 14th May, at The New Inn in Leamington Spa. The sale of cakes, Carls prints and cards, and a tombola, plus generous donations raised an amazing total of £580.
The Foundation has made grant payments of £500 each to the Pancreatic Cancer Fund at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, and to the Cancer Ward at University Hospital, Coventry.
Our fabulous Evening at the Musicals was held at Lillington Free Church, featuring hugely talented local singers performing songs from the shows.
The Foundation made its first grant payment in December, to The Myton Hospices. We are thrilled that our first grant, of £3,000 was given to the Coventry Myton Hospice, who looked after Carl so well during his illness.
Our festive fundraiser was held at The Nelson Club, Stockton, with entertainment provided by West End singer and actor, David Harrop, and the Royal Spa Brass.
In November we held a craft fair at St Mary’s Church, Leamington Spa, with twenty stallholders selling a wide range of hand-made and artisan items, including artwork, silk goods, craft gin, jewellery and knitted items.
