Observation Platform opened at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve!

We are thrilled that the Observation Platform, built at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve, in memory of Carl, was officially opened on Saturday 20th January.

The platform can be found on the all-surface route around the nature reserve and is fully accessible to everyone of all abilities.  With seats to sit and spot wildlife or just take in the large skies, also displayed are wildlife images taken by Carl.

Karl Curtis, Director of Nature Reserves at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, said:

“We are delighted to have this valuable addition to the nature reserve for our visitors.  It’s location provides a wonderful view of the reedbeds and is a great place to capture the seasonal changes across the site as well as magical wildlife spectacles such as the starling murmuration.  We are thankful to the Carl Lewis Foundation for all their fundraising efforts and to be able to work in partnership to build this as a memory to Carl.”
