The Foundation was pleased to able to make a grant of £500 to a lovely lady called Lolly, who is suffering from incurable Sarcoma (bone cancer). Lolly’s friend, Tracy, approached the Foundation asking if we would help Lolly and her husband attend the Sarcoma Glitter Ball. Tracy told us “Lolly is the most amazing lady I know, with two young children – by attending the ball, they will be able to network with people who are in the same position and find a bigger support system for themselves and the family”.
“ Having incurable Sarcoma, I really wanted to attend the ball to meet fellow sarcomies and to support Sarcoma UK’s biggest fundraising event of the year. We wouldn’t have been able to attend had it not been for The Carl Lewis Foundation granting us the funds for the tickets. We had the most amazing time and were even lucky enough to sit on a table with Sarcoma UK’s ambassador, Jake Quickenden.”
