We are thrilled to report that planning permission has been granted to build the observation platform at Brandon Marsh, in memory of Carl.
The platform will overlook the Newlands reedbed and will feature some of Carl’s photographs. It will be fully accessible to wheelchair users and will provide a space for quiet enjoyment, reflection, and a place to spot the fantastic wildlife of Brandon March – a fitting tribute to Carl.
The work to install the platform will start in late October and is likely to take approximately three to four weeks. The Foundation has made a grant of £23,102 to Warwickshire Wildlife Trust to fund the project, £17,594 of which was donated specifically for this purpose. We will be holding an event to unveil a plaque and celebrate the opening of the platform. So, watch this space!
